"Trevi Fountain" Tanzanite Necklace

Fountain of Wishes · Mirror of Eternity

This piece embodies Lu Ying's "Nouveau Deco" philosophy, translating the medieval fountain—a symbol of primordial purity and the "Water of Life"—into a contemplative object. The rhythmic gradation of Tanzanite Beads flows like a cascading veil, capturing not merely water’s form but its eternal return, bridging Roman basins and Baroque gardens in one continuous strand. The clasp, sculpted in 18k white gold and diamonds, renders the fountain’s opposing motions—the ascent as aspiration, the descent as quietude—into an architectural vignette. Water has no constant form, yet architecture gives it voice. Here, Rococo delicacy meets Gothic structure; engineering precision dissolves into poetic intuition. In this work, Lu Ying does not merely adorn—she composes a dialogue across time, rekindling the medieval fountain’s spiritual resonance within the language of contemporary art.

Mughal Sonata·Tourmaline Emerald Beads

PRIVAGUER's beaded pink tourmaline piece, featuring over 200 carats of gemstones, transcends conventional adornment to become a profound dialogue between Eastern and Western aesthetics and worldviews. Rather than merely juxtaposing cultural symbols, the work employs Mughal carving artistry as a universal vocabulary, organically integrating the rational spirit of Greek civilization, the natural romance of the European Art Nouveau movement, and the aesthetic philosophy of contemporary high jewelry.

The classic floral motifs of the Mughal era, blending Western geometric discipline with Indian naturalism, are translated into a rhythmic carved language applied throughout the strand of pink tourmaline beads. Designer Lu Ying moves beyond historical replication, executing a contemporary "translation" of traditional patterns that serves as a grammatical structure connecting diverse cultural connotations—echoing the concept of "cultural sampling and remixing" in international contemporary art.

The piece is characterized by its soft yet intense pink hue, symbolizing emotion and auspiciousness in Eastern tradition while embodying romance and vitality in Western context. The tourmaline beads are precisely carved to evoke imagery of "domed arcs" or "blossoming stamens," reflecting both Eastern reverence for natural forms and Western pursuit of idealized geometry.

Structurally, the composition is unified by meticulously set mounts and a metal framework that contains the expressive tourmaline fringe within a rational architecture, creating a visual tension characterized as "reason embracing emotion." Lu Ying acts as a "cultural alchemist," synthesizing Eastern motifs, Western aesthetics, and precious minerals from across regions through exceptional craftsmanship into a contemporary artwork with universal significance.

Thus, this pink tourmaline strand is not merely an object of personal adornment, but a flowing visual philosophy. Using Mughal patterns as a connective thread, it links Eastern perspectives on nature with Western formal aesthetics, achieving balance between rational structure and emotional expression to ultimately construct a complete and profoundly meaningful artistic entity.
